The California White is a cross between a Leghorn hen and a California Grey cock. They are by far one of the most successful and productive hybrids on the market, laying over 300 eggs per year! California Whites are great because they are fast growers too! Hardy birds with extended life and laying cycles compared to other breeds makes for an ideal producer for any fowl keeper. Because they are so hardy, they do well in colder climates and will continue to lay when breeds have stopped. California Whites are a mostly white bird with black fleaks throughout their bodies and are a light weight, energetic bird.
