Hens are all black with white or grey colored legs. Some hens can have lightly feathered shanks. These are very friendly and hearty birds! Hens will average 8 pounds and lay around 250-275 large dark brown eggs a year. Cock birds will be barred and average 10-12 pounds fully grown.
Please note that these are not Marans and egg color and physical characteristics can vary from bird to bird.
