Salmon Faverolles are a very popular breed amongst backyard flocks. Their silly, curious, and docile personalities make them great for families! Even faverolle cocks are known to be less aggressive than other breeds and as equally cute as thier counter parts! Their peachy down and fluffy white faces that are covered with muff and beards make them completely adorable! Faverolles are one of the few breeds with extra toes. Faverolles are also great layers in the winter months and handle the cold temperatures just fine! Because of their sweet and docile ways, faverolles tend to stay at the bottom of the pecking order, so be cautious of this if you have bossy hens in your flocks. Eggs are creamy pink to tan in color.
Faverolles lay around 150 medium sized eggs a year.
Hens weigh around 6-7 pounds; Cocks weigh about 8 pounds.
